On Saturday, July 31, REPACTED held a civic engagement workshop on the new proposed constitution. The attendees of the workshop came from all over Nakuru District, including Molo, Njoro, Rongai, Bahati, and Nakuru Town. They learned all about how the proposed constitution will work, differences between the current and the new constitutions, and the truth behind some of the myths about the document. Kenyans will vote on the proposal in a referendum on August 4th. The workshop graduates will be important sources of information in their communities as voters make their decisions.
